The “Made My Day” Record of Today: Dirty Beaches - Seaside EP (2008)
The listening of this EP, in a “holiday atmosphere” at the seaside, was incredibly appeasing and joyful. But anyway, I think it could have worked in the city too. At the opening, “Goodbye, Honolulu” makes you imagine a long Hawaiian beach, your sunglasses on, and the end “La Barca” let you in an old lost and sinister harbour on the Mediterranean sea. Through some fuzzy guitars and psychedelic acoustic songs, Dirty Beaches make you travel. Listen. Enjoy. Tell me your thoughts about it.
